ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.  Over 6,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed every year.  ALS has no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundary and can affect anyone.  

There is NO cure.
